My name is Luis Ramirez; I'm passionate about social justice, fighting for equality, and
changing the narrative society places on people of color through my designs. I strive
to learn new things every day and love meeting people
who are the same. I also love
to play video games and enjoy sharing my ideas with the world.
I'm a self-taught web developer/designer. I learned the processes, concepts, and
theories of UX/UI and web development through attending workshops, online classes,
reading blogs and applying these to projects in my spare time.
I am very much a
big-picture thinker and enjoy working on projects from ideation to development.
My Values
Always be Learning.
You only get so little time on earth; why not enjoy learning something
new. I am always looking for new ways to improve my designs and
grow as a person. In my spare time, I like to take online classes, read
blogs, start new
projects and attend meetups.
Meditation is Key.
Life can be so hectic sometimes that you need to remember to
take time for yourself. Love yourself and unwind from a long day
with some breathing exercises. I try my best to meditate at least
every other day to stay grounded.
Help Stop Injustice.
I believe that we should all strive to make the world a better place.
If you see injustice speak up. Help everyone speak their truth.
Enjoy the Little Things.
Life can be best when you stop to enjoy the moment.
Enjoy what you have and the people around you at
all times. You don't know when you'll see them
again.
